Emergency Bypass Mode
Temporarily bypass a display module shutdown alarm
If the display module fails and triggers a shutdown alarm, you can activate Emergency Bypass mode. The unit will operate normally for 24 hours while a countdown timer is shown on the display. Use this time to contact the nearest Carrier Transicold Service Center for repair.
Entering Emergency Bypass Mode
With the unit in shutdown due to the display module alarm, press the MENU key until "Bypass MODE" is displayed.
Press the Bypass mode soft key. The unit will resume operation for up to 24 hours or until Emergency Bypass mode is manually disabled.
Exiting Emergency Bypass Mode
Press the MENU key until the EXIT Bypass soft key is displayed.
Press the EXIT Bypass soft key. The unit will shut down.
Once Emergency Bypass mode is turned off, it cannot be restarted. The unit will remain in shutdown until it is repaired. After repairs are made and the display module alarm is cleared, the unit will operate normally and Emergency Bypass mode will no longer be available.
