Remote Panel

Use the optional remote panel to control and monitor the unit

The unit may be fitted with an optional remote control panel. The remote panel is very similar to the main APX display module and shows compartment setpoints, temperatures, and operating modes (heat, cool, or defrost). It can be mounted on the front bulkhead, in the compartment, or in the wall itself.

The remote panel keys, soft keys, and alarm indicators are in the same locations as the main APX display module: • MENU key • DEFROST key • START/STOP - CONTINUOUS key • Alarm LED • Alarm key • "=" (Select) key • Arrow keys • Soft keys • Display

The remote panel can be used to: • Turn the unit On/Off • Check compartment temperatures • Check and change setpoints • Initiate manual defrost • Check mode of operation • Initiate Pre-trip

The remote panel cannot be used to: • Enter Advanced User or Technician modes • Access any USB functions, USB menus, PC mode, or Print

The remote panel does not have a USB port or an SROS (Start/Run/Off) switch. Unit ON/OFF is controlled by the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key, which replaces the Engine Hours soft key on the main display.

Prevent Battery Drain

Turning the unit off from the remote panel shuts down the unit but leaves the control system energized. If shutting the unit down for extended periods, use the SROS switch on the main panel to prevent battery drain.

Auto-Off After Inactivity

The remote panel illuminates when the SROS switch is turned on, but turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity. Press any button on the remote panel to turn it back on. It will turn off again after another 30 minutes of inactivity.

SROS Must Be On

The remote panel cannot operate if the SROS switch on the main panel is in the OFF position.

Turning the Unit On/Off

Step 1: Display Unit On/Off Key

On the remote panel, press and release the "MENU" key until the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key is displayed.

Step 2: Turn the Unit On

To turn the unit ON, press the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key. The remote display will read "UNIT ON".

Step 3: Turn the Unit Off

To turn the unit OFF, press the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key. The remote display will read "UNIT SHUT DOWN".
