How to start your Vector 8800MT refrigeration unit
Find the START/RUN-OFF switch (SROS) at the bottom right of the control panel.
Flip the switch from the OFF position to the START/RUN position.
The system will display the Carrier Transicold logo on the screen.
A diagnostic sequence runs automatically. The ALARM light flashing during startup is NORMAL — this is part of the self-check process.
The display will show language selection and hour meter readings (if configured).
A standby-to-diesel transition countdown appears (approximately 27 seconds).
The engine will auto-start when the countdown timer reaches zero.
The default display screen appears showing all zone temperatures and setpoints.
Under NO circumstances should ether or any other starting aids be used to start the engine. This can cause serious engine damage and may result in an explosion.
If the unit attempts to start in Electric Operation and power is not available, alarm 00073 will activate. If this persists for 5 minutes and the unit is configured to allow auto-switch, it will transition to Engine (Diesel) Operation automatically.
If the LCD display does not illuminate after switching to START/RUN, check: battery voltage (may need a booster battery), fuses, and verify that all harness connectors are secure.
