Remote Panel

Use the optional remote panel to control and monitor the unit

The unit may be fitted with an optional remote control panel. The remote panel displays compartment setpoints, compartment temperatures, and operating modes (heat, cool, or defrost). It can be mounted on the front bulkhead, in the compartment, or in the wall itself.

The remote panel keys, soft keys, and alarm indicators are in the same locations as the main APX display module: • MENU key • DEFROST key • START/STOP - CONTINUOUS key • Alarm LED • Alarm key • "=" (Select) key • Arrow keys • Soft keys • Display

The remote panel can be used to: • Turn the refrigeration system on and off • Check compartment temperatures • Check and change setpoints • Initiate manual defrost • Check mode of operation • Initiate Pre-Trip

The remote panel cannot be used to: • Enter Advanced User or Technician modes • Access any USB functions, USB menus, PC Mode, or Print

No USB or SROS

There is no USB port on the remote panel. There is no START/RUN-OFF switch on the remote panel. Unit On/Off is controlled by the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key, which replaces the Engine Hours soft key on the main display.

Does Not Remove Power

The remote panel does not remove power from the APX Control System. To fully shut down the APX Control System, place the SROS in the OFF position.

Turning the Unit On/Off

SROS Must Be On

The remote panel cannot operate if the START/RUN-OFF switch is in the OFF position. The unit can be shut down using either the remote panel or the START/RUN-OFF switch on the main panel.

Auto-Off After Inactivity

To prevent a constant drain on the battery, the remote panel illuminates when the START/RUN-OFF switch is turned on but will turn off after 30 minutes of inactivity. Press any button on the remote panel to turn it back on.

Step 1: Display Unit On/Off Key

On the remote panel, press and release the MENU key until the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key is displayed.

Soft Key Difference

The "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key on the remote panel takes the place of the "ENGINE HOURS" soft key on the main display.

Step 2: Turn the Unit On

Press the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key. The remote display will read "UNIT ON".

Step 3: Turn the Unit Off

Press the "UNIT ON/OFF" soft key again. The remote display will read "UNIT SHUT DOWN".
