View Active Alarms

Check and clear active alarms on the Vector 8600MT

Step 1: Press the ALARM Key

With the system powered up (START/RUN-OFF switch in the START/RUN position) or in PC mode, press the ALARM key.

Step 2: View the Alarm List

If there are active alarms, the alarm number displays preceded by the letter "A" (active alarm). The last alarm that occurred is shown first.

Alarm Descriptions by Mode

In Driver mode, alarm descriptions only display if the system is configured to do so. In Advanced User mode or Technician mode, the alarm description displays following the alarm number.

Alarm Count and Position

Next to the ACTIVE ALARMS screen name in the status bar, the total number of alarms and the position of the highlighted alarm in the list are shown (e.g., alarm 2 of 3).

Step 3: Scroll Through Alarms

Press the UP (▲) or DOWN (▼) key to scroll through the list of alarms.

Step 4: Clear the Alarms

Press the CLEAR ALARMS soft key. The display will show an "ACTIVE ALARMS CLEARED" message to confirm the alarms have been cleared.

No Active Alarms

If there are no active alarms, the display shows a "NO ACTIVE ALARMS" message and returns to the default display after 5 seconds.

Alternate Way to Clear Alarms

You can also clear active alarms by turning the control system OFF and then back on using the START/RUN-OFF switch.

Stored Alarms

Alarms are stored in the Alarm List in the main microprocessor. Stored alarms may be viewed in the MessageCenter. For a complete list of alarms, meanings, and troubleshooting, refer to Section 7.

Inactive Alarm List Restricted

The inactive alarm list may only be viewed in Technician mode. Only qualified refrigeration technicians should access the inactive alarm list. It is not intended for Drivers or Advanced Users.
