Data Recorder

Use the built-in DataLink data recorder features

The APX Control System contains a built-in DataLink data recorder with 3 megabytes of memory. It records events as they occur (setpoint changes, defrost cycles, etc.) and logs sensor data at selected intervals in snapshot or averaged format.

The following intervals are available for sensor recording: • 1 Minute • 2 Minutes • 5 Minutes • 10 Minutes • 15 Minutes • 30 Minutes • 1 Hour • 2 Hours • 4 Hours

The data recorder logs four categories of information: • APX Control System Information — date/time, setpoint, trailer ID, unit serial/model number, controller info, pretrip start/end, functional parameters, configurations, and current operating mode • Sensor Data — snapshot or averaged readings from all sensors and transducers at the selected interval • Event Occurrences — setpoint changes, defrost start/end, START/RUN-OFF switch position, pretrip start/end, unit mode, control mode, door/remote switch activations, and hour meter readings • User Area Data — comments entered via the TRU-Tech program

Hour Meter Recordings

Hour meters are recorded at midnight or the first time of day the START/RUN-OFF switch is toggled from the OFF position. There will be no hour meter readings when the switch is in the OFF position.

Recorded data can be downloaded using either the TRU-Tech/TRU-View program with a PC-USB service cable connected to the USB interface port, or with a Data Transfer USB memory device (refer to Section 5.3.3).

Recording After Shutdown

A configuration setting allows an additional 8 hours of sensor data to be recorded after the switch is placed in the OFF position. The factory setting is to record the additional 8 hours so temperatures are captured during unloading, fueling, or other times the unit may be off.
