Description
The DPF controller reports backpressure sensor failure when backpressure is present with the engine off or no pressure rise occurs after startup, and the unit alarms only and regenerates every 8 hours.
Activation Conditions
DPF controller reporting backpressure sensor failure. Backpressure is present when engine is not running, or pressure rise is not detected after engine starts running.
Unit Behavior
Alarm Only Regeneration will automatically occur every 8 hours.
Reset Conditions
DPF controller not reading backpressure from sensor when unit is off and reads backpressure rise when engine starts running. OR Alarm Reset Or Cycle Power
Corrective Actions
1. Visually inspect wiring to backpressure sensor. 2. Validate pressure sensor. 3. Clean exhaust backpressure tube and port. 4. Disassemble and clean snubber assembly.
