Description
Nvd Checksum means an error happened when writing information to main microprocessor memory, and the unit gives alarm only.
Activation Conditions
An error occurs when trying to write information to be stored in main microprocessor memory.
Unit Behavior
Engine and Electric Operation: Alarm only
Reset Conditions
Alarm may be manually reset using the display mounted keys or by turning the unit off, then back on again.
Corrective Actions
1. Check Microprocessor a. Check setpoint setting. Must be between -22 and +90°F (-30 and +32°C). b. Enter new setpoint. 2. Reset Microprocessor a. Place the START/RUN-OFF switch in the OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable or unplug PM connector. Wait 20 seconds and reinstall. Then place the START/RUN-OFF back in the START/ RUN position. The microprocessor powers up OK and the latest setpoint appears in the display. b. Alarm 00246 remains active. Download data and replace the main microprocessor module (MM). Refer to Section 5.5.
