No COMM From Any Board to Main Micro

Description
No COMM From Any Board to Main Micro means the MSM cannot communicate with any modules over the CAN bus; shutdown and alarm.
Activation Conditions
Micro Stepper Module cannot communicate with any modules over the CAN bus.
Unit Behavior
Shutdown and alarm. Display module may display “LOSS OF COMMUNICATIONS”.
Reset Conditions
Auto reset when CAN communication is restored, or alarm reset or a or larm may be manually reset by turning the unit off, then back on again.
Corrective Actions
1. Check CAN Bus a. Inspect connector pins and terminals on PM, 1MSM, 2MSM, ES CAP, DM and ENCU. Verify that there is no damage or corrosion in connections. b. Check for CAN continuity: CAN Hi; Check entire circuit, ES-D to DM-2. If circuit is open, check individual paths as follows: PM- 23; 1-1MSM-12, 2 and 4; DM-2; 1-2MSM-29 and 27 through SP-02 to ENCU-23 and ES-D CAN Lo; Check entire circuit, ES-C to DM-6. If circuit is open, check individual paths as follows: PM-12; 1-1MSM-3, 6 and 8; DM-6; 1-2MSM-30 and 28 through SP-03 to ENCU-24 and ES-C. 2. Check for other CAN Bus Alarms: This alarm may accompany by other alarms, complete troubleshooting steps for alarms found. If repairs have been made and the other alarms have cleared, further troubleshooting may not be required. If this alarm reoccurs, check CAN bus as described in the proceeding step. 3.
