Suction Pressure Sensor Check
refrigeration
Description
The suction pressure sensor is out of range with the compressor running, and the unit gives an alarm only in Engine and Shore Power Operation.
Activation Conditions
Suction pressure sensor is out of range. Suction pressure is >14.7 psig or <100 psig with the compressor running.
Unit Behavior
Engine and Shore Power Operation (Alarm only)
Reset Conditions
Auto reset when Suction Pressure Sensor is in range or, alarm may be reset manually from the Aspen Interface alarm menu, CabinTech or by turning the unit off and then back on again.
Corrective Actions
1. Check System Pressures a. Check System Values in Cabin Tech. Compare the pressure readings versus gauge pressure. If pressures are in normal range, proceed to next step. b. After the unit has equalized, compare the pressure readings for the CDP. The CSP and the CDP should read within 5 PSI. If not it indicates a failed sensor. 2. Check Pressure Sensor - Inspect sensor and connectors. Verify there is no damage to sensor, seal, or fitting. Electrical connector should be free of damage, moisture, or corrosion.
