Description
The Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor is outside -53°F to +158°F (-47°C to +70°C); alarm sounds and the defrost cycle terminates.
Activation Conditions
Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor is not within the maximum range of -53°F to +158°F (-47°C to +70°C).
Unit Behavior
Alarm and defrost cycle will terminate.
Reset Conditions
Auto reset if Pretrip is started again, or alarm may be manually reset using the display mounted keys or by turning the unit off, then back on again.
Corrective Actions
1. Check Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor (1DTT) a. Inspect Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor (1DTT) and connector. Verify that there is no damage to sensor, no damage or corrosion in connector and that no wires are pushed back through plug. b. Check Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor (1DTT) resistance. 10,000 Ohms @ 77°F (25°C). Refer to Section 8.9.16 for chart of resistances for different sensors. 2. Check Defrost Termination Temperature Sensor (1DTT): Inspect harness and control box connector pins and terminals 1-3MSM-3 and 26 (see wiring schematic). No physical damage to harness. No damaged or corroded pins.
